I read a lot… make that a LOT!

I strongly believe in the power of the written word to change you on a profound level by opening your heart to new possibilities and by learning new skills. Plus, if you’ve a library nearby, a voracious reading habit costs nothing.

I’ve always got at least two books on the go at any time: one fiction and one non-fiction. Half a lifetime ago, I used to keep a log of each book I read along with notes, thoughts, etc. For some reason, I got out of this habit so for 2015 I’m re-introducing not just the log but a list of books to be read as well.

Over the next week or two I’ll be spending some time adding titles to my list. So far, I’ve seen recommendations for Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck and The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business by Charles Duhigg and have requested a copy of each from my local library. I also plan to reread Affluenza: When Too Much is Never Enough by Clive Hamilton and Your Money or Your Life: 9 Steps to Transforming Your Relationship with Money and Achieving Financial Independence: Revised and Updated for the 21st Century
by Vicky Robin.

Most of my non-fiction reading will be within the investing, economics and personal finance genre as that’s the field in which I write but I’m happy to explore other options, too. For fiction, I have a very soft spot for sci-fi/fantasy.

So, what will be on your reading list in 2015?

What can you recommend?
