Welcome to another edition of Weekend Reading. I’m definitely looking forward to dedicating some serious time to relaxation this weekend. It might not be a lot of time, but it will be as relaxing as I can make it. For me, typically, that means some time with a book and hopefully a good dose of sunshine. What are your plans for the weekend?

Food security is an issue about which I’m passionate. Two articles on the subject caught my attention this week: Egg rationing in parts of the US due to Avian Flu and the potential merger of two of the largest agri/bio-tech business entities in the world. Both situations have the potential to negatively impact our food security and we ought to be taking them seriously.
